I am trying to dimension a drawing and have tried everything under the sun to change the text size but despite everything it keeps producing the text at a tiny size, can anyone tell me how to change this? Thanks

What Dimension Style are you using? Sounds to me like an Annotative problem to me. Make sure the Annotative dimension style is selected first. Next, look at the bottom right of your interface you have the Current Annotation Scale list. (See Image)

Change this to a more appropriate scale and see if this helps.

In addition to the above post, also go into STYLE, pick the style used in the dimension, and make sure the text height there is set to zero, swipe over it even if it says 0 and type in 0.

The quick and dirty "old school" answer it to change DIMSCALE to a higher value. This will make all dimensions for every dimension style "larger"

A somewhat less crude method is changing the setting for each dimension style on the DIMSTYLE > FIT tab with the "overall scale" setting.

I personally don't change either of those from their default value of 1 because you have to manually change them every time you change scale, Instead, I prefer to dimension from a viewport with "Scale dimensions to Layout" so that dimensions are alway the correct size for the viewport scale. Using Annotative dimensions works the same way, with the added benefit of displaying them only at certain scales. Putting your dimensions in Paperspace is yet another option that will ensure that dimensions are always exactly the right size relative to the size of the paper you're printing on.

Welcome to Cadtutor. If you'd like more specific help, just let us know a few more details about how you're creating your drawing and whether you intend to to work only in modelspace, or whether you're going to use Paperspace/Layouts for printed output.
