redbeardcad Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I have a drawing with 2 xrefs. I have the xrefs grayscaled to show as a background. So all my piping lines are set to front draw order. When I zoom out and switch back to PS the xrefs appear to be in front. In other words when I do work in MS. or in the viewport model, the draw order changes the xrefs to front. I can change it to back and it will stay until I make another change to the piping. Does this make any sence? I'm using ACAD 2012. Quote
BlackBox Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 You *should* be able to fix by simply doing a REGEN inside your PaperSpace Viewport. HTH Quote
redbeardcad Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Thanks, that works. So it is really a display thing with the graphics card? Or I should just do a zoom all, regen, save, before I plot? Quote
BlackBox Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I'm not sure exactly what's the cause really, and you'd have to test for yourself, but I believe that the plot will still come out correctly. The REGEN just updates what you see... when you were in ModelSpace you moved the XREF to back, the REGEN doesn't change that. Quote

The plot will come out fine. The Viewport simply needs to be regenerated is all for you to physically see the changes while in Paperspace. REGENALL can be used too, so you don't have to activate the Viewport. :-) Quote
