I've recently emailed drawings to my work and when I go to open the drawing using volo view Express, up pops the following message:
Unsupported drawing format.:c\ (then the path its saved in my outlook).I have come across this before when viewing DXF files on a webpage. Also if I go to view file size of the drawing in windows explorer it tells me there is 0 Kb!
I could just send the email again and everything should be Ok,but I want to know why its happening?
Maybe this is the answer, maybe you speak German, unfortunately I dont!

The topic is about Mechanical Desktop 4, dunno if that's the program you use too, but here is the translation through Altavista/Babelfish:

Dxf files from MDT4 through dxfout a DXF file in that does not produce the outer contours of the design derivative any longer by VoloView to be represented can. You must the design derivative in the Browser - riders design of rights mouse button to it all opinions export the Zeicnungsableitung to copy. For the MDT6 you can indicate e.g. then, what is to be produced for a DWG, DXF file thereby.

*EDIT*
Zeicnungsableitung is spelled wrong and should be Zeichnungsableitung, which means:
Design derivative
