Method 1 (the correct way) Start a new file. Exit sketch. Issue the Derived Component command and select the original part. Set to derive as solid body and set to mirror. Now you have a mirrored part and the original part. (there is a shortcut to do these steps from the Manage tab of the original part - but try it this way first. Method 2 Do Mirror feature selecting Solid option and then Save Copy As... Undo the mirror in original (downside of this method is the two files are not associative).
