Last Friday, our company moved to a new location. One of the nice things about this new location is going from our old HP plotter to a brand new plotter/copier/scanner! YEAH!!! Had the training yesterday afternoon, went thru all the bells and whistles, everything seemed kosher. Went to pring a 24x36 dwg for a co-worker this morning and things came to a standstill. One of the big differences between the old and new plotters is the old one we had to manually load either the 24"x500' roll or the 30" x 500' roll, depending on what size we wanted to plot. The new one has two rolls in it that we don't have to touch, 30" wide and 36" wide. SWEET! but, here lies the problem.

Our old plotter plotted things so they came out of the plotter portrait-wise. The new one sends them out landscape-oriented. So, whenever I try to plot a 24x36, it gets cut off. I've tried rotating it, changing sheet sizes, but it won't let me, googling, etc. Thought I'd post a thread on here to see if anyone has any ideas. (I'm going to call the plotter company after I post this, too, but just wanted to see what the experts had to say first.)

Here's all my info:

AutoCAD 2011

Windows 7 Professional

Intel Xeon cpu

4gb ram, 64 bit OS

Richoh Aficio MP W3601 plotter

Basically, what I'm trying to figure out is: how the heck do i set up a 36" by 24" plot? It's not one of the selections on the Ricoh driver?

Go into the plotter properties and load additional sizes. You should have Arch D (Portrait) and Arch D (Landscape).

I had a similar problem with our new plotter. I was able to change the paper orientation and paper size in PRINTER PROPERTIES THEN CUSTOM PROPERTIES.

Good Luck
