Netminder
Hey, Do you remember the Harry Nilsson/Ringo Starr Movie, “The Point”? Poor little Oblio had a round head and had to wear a pointed hat to fit in with the rest of the village? So how do you turn something round into something pointed? Well, now I’ll get to the “point”. I am doing a sheet metal part that is similar to a right triangle (pointed) and I have to radius the corners (rounded). If my linear triangle was 6” tall and 4” along the base but I am going to .375” radius all three corners, how do I show in my flat pattern where the original dimensions “points” were? If I radius the part corners prior to inserting into my drawing sheet my dimension lines will only grip the radius tangency. Where is the Rock Man when you need him? JD Mather
Dimension to projected intersection. Attach your files here if you can't figure it out. An another approach would be to Retrieve Model dimensions (if they existed).
