Hatching doesn't recognise 'enclosed' area

Hello,

Is there any way of finding out what objects (lines) don’t quite join together and enclose the space I am trying to hatch/fill within.

I'm going round all the corners and intersections with the 'fillet' command just in case I miss something but couldn't imagine doing this if there were lots of corners in a complicated drawing. Would be so time consuming!

I've tried using the boundary command but it doesn't recognise the enclosed area (perhaps because it's not fully enclosed because one of the corners doesn't quite join?).

Anyone know of any way CAD would be able to detect which corner doesn't quite join? Looking forward to someone's solution!:)

Thanks

Yes, it would be handy to know why AutoCAD refuses to do something on those rare occasions when it refuses to do something. I've learned to avoid this problem by using a boundary polyline on a nonplotting layer. It means going over the same area twice, but I'd have to do that anyway to guarantee the linework met at all the corners. Once the boundary is done, set its display order to back and forget about it.

Did you adjust the Gap Tolerance in the hatch settings?

I have yet to find that variable to actually work.
