Openantics Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 i am having problems with polylines, alignments, etc hiding behind my inserted geo-tifs? perhaps my layer organization is inefficient or even wrong, but RC on the geo-tifs and selected 'send back' seems awfully crude and it doesn't appear to be a permanent solution. should geo-tifs be placed on the 0-layer, or onto its own layer (which i prefer, so i can freeze, etc)? what is the 'Send Back/Forward' command for? tia Quote
CyberAngel Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 If you use Draw Order on an image and Send to Back, it should stop hiding your other linework. New objects will appear "in front of" the image. The whole point is that AutoCAD draws the rear objects first. Objects drawn later will hide/obscure objects drawn sooner. If you have multiple overlapping images, consider consolidating them into one image. Grouping objects on layers is considered good practice. In other words, don't put things on layer 0 without a good reason. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Is this just on the screen or when plotted? Quote
Emigrato Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Please consider to give transparency to your images (TIFF if monochrome, PNG if colour). Quote
