BillB
Hello again, I am currently running Inventor 2009 Pro as a single user but have installed our new Inventor 2012 Pro (still single user) and have a migration question. I have my Projects set up as “JOBS_2008”, “JOBS_2009”, “JOBS_2010” and so forth. In each Project Folder (Ex: JOBS_2010) are our clients different jobs. I would like to slowly migrate the work done in 2009 Pro to 2012 Pro so I can get a little more use to the new 2012 interface and so forth. I really don’t want to migrate everything at once. Anybody out there know of a method or process that I could use to accomplish this? I hope this made some sense Thank you in advance for any input BillB
Bishop
All you do is open each file then save it again. It'll tell you that you're migrating, and will no longer be able to open the file with the earlier version. There's really no need to force the migration, that I know of. It'll happen on its own if / when you re-use old data.
