Hi all,

Im trying to upgrade one of my users to autocad 2007. When im installing it reaches this file: acad_NFW.CHM, and then crashes the machine. Occasionally it will crash with a blue stop screen with the error Kernel_Stack_Inpgae_Error.

Having researched this error it states it could be a hardware fault, however the machine runs fine until i try to install autocad 2007. Autocad 2006 installs and runs fine......

Any ideas what is stopping this installation from going through?

oh sorry, the machine itself is a winxp sp2 with all hotfixes, p4 2.2ghz processor, with 1gig ram.

thankyou for your help

Paul

try disabling any anti-virus software prior to install

I just installed the 2007 Demo version and got the same message. I clicked to ignore the message and the install continued and I have not encountered any further problem. I hasten to add that I only have 224MB RAM which is half that given in the system requirements, I suspect the 512MB is required for rendering, regardless dwg files are fully operational and no stalling or anything so far.
