can't figure out an annotative text problem

so i've got a font style with a height of 2mm, that is annotative. looks fine in model space, and looks fine in paper space if im using the mousewheel to zoom in and out in the viewport (at around 1.7 to 2.3:1 scales). but once i click the scale button near the bottom, and set it to the exact amount (2:1) all the text disappears (i assume because it is too small to see)

regardless of if i set it to 100:1 or 1:100 the text will disappear, and only reappear at 1:1 :/ this is both in blocks and in regular single-line text

anyone willing to take a peak? i feel like i've double checked all the right things and it should work.. obviously i havent

I don't pretend to understand annotative text, have never found a use for it in my work. If you double click into your viewport, then select the text object or objects which you want to fix, in the RIGHT CLICK shortcut menu you will find the annotative text flyout, where you can add the current scale. It looks fine on my machine after doing that.

I believe that you can do the exact same thing in MODELSPACE. Just select the text first, then use the right click menu.

hmm, that works when i select the blocks and do it, but it only works for the attributes in the block, not the text that comes with the block. and i dont know how to select the single line text... any help on that front?

Perhaps one of these images will help to shed some light on this dark science.

If all else fails, and I hope it doesn't, read the voluminous instructions in the help section, and good luck.

so by variously setting the block, the text in the block, the attributes, tags, and attribute values all to annotative at the correct scale in model space, ive got them showing at proper sizes in paper space.

except all the attribute values moved upwards by 3 units. ARGFHGHRTHRGHRTHRGHHRGH

lol... appreciate the help guys!

You're welcome. Glad you got lucky, if that's how it feels to you.

From my perspective, it seems like a real pain in the butt.

I put all my dimensions and text in paperspace, and what you see is what you get.
