neuri
Hi, I just got a new PC and I want to get started on doing 3D in AutoCAD but I have yet to find a good book on 3D within ACAD, it's all 2D. Anyone got recommendations?

tzframpton
Don't forget the online help files... Autodesk is actually pretty good at their documentation. In fact, I really commend them in this area. I've learned so much by simply referencing the Help file. Here's a starting point: http://exchange.autodesk.com/autocad/enu/online-help/browse#WS1a9193826455f5ffa23ce210c4a30acaf-68fb.htm This will give you good reference on how to creating 3D models, but you'll probably need to reference to this site for the approach when you start getting into it more. Also note, the UCS, Dynamic UCS and utilizing multiple Modelspace Viewports play a huge role in designing 3D models in AutoCAD. Be sure to reference those items as well.
