Good day.

I am using R14 onwith W2kPro.

I was wondering if there is a way to have a number of different paperspace views on the same drawing? In other words: can I have one "layout" with viewports of , say cross-sections, and a second "layout" with viewports of the plan view and maybe another viewport with a isometic view. The model space is the same.

I have been perplexed by this for a while an usually cheat by saving the entire drawing as a different file name, each one with the same modelspace but different paperspace "layouts".

All help is appreciated. Thanks.

you can have as many viewports as you like on the drawing.
However, in R14 you can only have one paperspace !
There's nothing to stop you having more than one titleblock in paperspace and different viewports on each titleblock ~ not perfect but would get around your problem.
alternatively, you could create all your viewports in the same titleblock space and just turn viewports on and off as required when plotting.

Thanks for the reply.

I will try puttiing the viewports on different layers and turning them on and off as required.

Thanks again.

turning the layers off and on will not make the contents of the viewport disappear, you'll need to turn the actual viewport on or off as required.

Right click the viewport ,select properties, then go to Categorised-Misc-On.Then either slect yes or no depending whether you want the viewport to be visable or not.
