DRBJR45
I want to draw an elliptical sheet metal shape using the LOFTED FLANGE command using Inventor 2010. I read that Inventor will not do this using splines (the ellipse). I guess I need to convert the spline to something inventor can work with. AutoCad has the "pellipse" option. Is there something similar in Inventor? The attached file shows the 2 shapes, each on their own workplane. When I start the lofted flange command I am able to pick each profile but when I click ok I get the error. Thanks! DRBJR45 COVER.ipt
JD Mather
Did you change your Output to Die Formed before selecting the sketches? Works here in 2012.

JD Mather
Oh well! Works fine in 2012. Maybe time to upgrade?
