Elize Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I'm having trouble copying parts of drawings into other drawings when I use the Ctrl+V command. Creating blocks and copying them also does not work. Some of the drawings I am able to copy to the one I am working on and others simply not, which gives me the idea that it might be a setvar within those specific drawings that prevents me from pasting? Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 What version of AutoCAD created the blocks? Quote
Elize Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 I am not sure. All the drawings are saved as 2010. It's not only blocks that give my trouble, any lines etc. do not copy. Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Could they have been originally created using AutoCAD 2007? Quote
Elize Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 That is very possible. How does that have an effect? Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 2007 had a known bug. Can you post a copy of the DWG file? Quote
Elize Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 Sure, it's attached. I've made it much smaller to be able to attach, it was about 3MB. CMH Masterplan Rev I (for upload).dwg Quote
SLW210 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Works fine here. Are the layers on for the objects being pasted? Perhaps the scale is extremely small after being Pasted in. Quote
Elize Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 That is so frustrating. All the scales are the same, all the layers are on, etc. Man this is quite frustrating. But thank you anyway for having a look. Quote
jgbgod Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Just hit the delete key. Works every time. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 What is displayed on the command line when you paste them in? Quote
