Dadgad
After selecting the name of the layer which you want to merge, then you will be prompted to select the target layer to which you wish to merge. If you use the Name selection option, then right click after selecting the name of the layer which you wish to merge, then you will get the target layer prompt. Sorry, I had remembered it backwards(above has been corrected), here is how it goes....... Command: LAYMRG Select object on layer to merge or [Name]: Selected layers: Steel. Select object on layer to merge or [Name/Undo]: Select object on target layer or [Name]: ******** WARNING ******** You are about to merge layer "Steel" into layer "0". Do you wish to continue? [Yes/No] : Y Deleting layer "Steel". 1 layer deleted.

Tiger
To be honest, I failed it too. It took some careful reading on the commandline to understand how the command really worked and what it was asking for...
