object property

I ave had a problem with the object property box. I select an object, say a polyline, and it fails to register in the property box. I have confirmed that both the PICKFIRST and PICKADD variables are set to "1". and have toggled the noun/verb selection variable- to no avail. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution, short of reloading the software? This problem showed up after some registry work had been done on my computer. Thank you for any help.

Have you searched the Autodesk KB? There is an article covering this situation. But in your case, with your registry changes, you might just run a repair on your install to get it fixed.

Thanks for the reference- from what i found it does indicate an error in the registry. A reinstall has fixed the problem.
