I'm having a problem with publish command in AutoCAD 2005. I have a file with 5 other xref files into it and when I publish its paperspace (extended, centered, 24"x36", fit to page) it turns out to have big xref path names (some of those 5 xref files) on the paper I printed.

The problem is that those path names are very big and they reduce my drawing down to 1/50 of paper size, the rest are covered by path name fonts (it's fit to page effect).

I don't understand why AutoCAD put those path names in the print. There is no error note on my xref files either. I've tried to tell AutoCAD not to put the path names in print document but can't figure out how. It's strange that I don't have this problem when I use plot command.

Anyone has encounterd this same problem? and anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance
Sam

First off, set your scale instead of fit to page. It sounds like you have some RTEXT entities in the drawing as a plot stamp. If you don't want them there, delete them.

Thank you R.K. but I still don't understand the RTEXT entities so I can't delete them. There is no mention of it in AutoCAD help either.

Right now I am settle with plot command instead of publish command. It takes a little more time but definitely not as much as if I try to fix the problem first.
