why am i having this problem? here is a simple example.
I draw a circle in 3d, then draw a slightly smaller circle a bit below it, then I join them with arcs snapped at the quadrants, but for some reason when I zoom in the arc has never snapped exactly on the circle, its always slightly off, so if say i wanted to create a 3d face between the arcs it wont me because the sides arnt touching. Any ideas?

have you tried doing a REGEN once you have zoomed in ?
it may be that it just appears not be touching when in reality, it is. If you are using snaps, then they should work. I don't have any problem doing what you just described
try doint an ID on the quadrant of the circle and then on the endpoint of the arc and see what the coordinates are.

yes i tried the regen, and anyway when I try make a 3dface it says the lines arnt touching, but i guess if you can do it then it must be somehting im doing wrong.
how do you mean an ID on the quadrant of the circle?

just type ID hit <enter> and you're prompted to select a point. Once you select a point, Acad gives back the coordinates of selected point (you may have to hit F2 to see the text window)
Do that on the quadrant and on the endpoint of the arc ~if they are touching, the coordinates should be identical

if you're doing what I think you may be trying to do... why not create the profile of the shape you're trying to get and REVOLVE it ?
~ look into the REVOLVE command in help
