Hi,

I've got the following problem. I cannot extrude polylines anymore. Yesterday morning, everything was working fine, but in the evening it didn't.
I tried to extrude a polygon i created with the polygon command. The polyline is closed and all points are in the same plane. It doesn't work with circles or other polylines either.
The thing is that I repeated the exact steps I did yesterday morning to extrude and despite this it won't work though it's exactly the same polygon... Am I missing something?

I use AutoCAD 2000 b.t.w.

Cheers, Peter

Do you have your UCS's X and Y coordinate's on the same plane as your polyline's, so the Z coordinate is at a 90 degree angle to the polyline's plane?

Yes, it is, i started autocad, draw a polygon in the x-y-plane of the world ucs.
As I wrote I tried to repeat it exactly as i did before (when it worked as it should)...

I've already looked for all common mistakes about extrusion, but i don't seem to have made them (or i can't see them)

When I use the extrude command and click on the polygon (or any other polyline), the message displayed is that no volume object can be found. I use a german version of AutoCAD and i'm not so sure about the translation (it says "Keine Volumenkörper gefunden")

Cheers, Peter

I used the wrong extrusion command...
How many extrusion commands do you have?

One for polylines (the one i should have used) and one for surfaces of a 3d object (the one i tried to use)

Ah, I see: it is the SOLIDEDIT command with the FACE and EXTRUDE options! :D
Glad to read that your problem is solved.
