I am very new to Isometric drawings, but I'd like to start. i want to do a closet design in isometric view, but I'm not sure how to get the dimensions correctly. That is I can easily enough make the closet space 8' high, but how do I make it 2' deep. Normally I would offset lines by a certain dimension depending on how wide or long, or deep I wanted something, but with Iso view offsetting really doesn't work if you want something exactly x' deep. Can somebody help me out.

I already have it set to snap to iso, and also I know about changing my viewing plane with the F5 key...but again I am very new, I got all that information from some helpful people in the forum.

In isometric projection, depth dimensions should be measured along the 30/60 degree lines. This can best be done with polar tracking and direct distance entry. Set polar tracking to a 30 degree increment. Start the line command, pich a first point on the front face of your cabinet, point in the direction you want to go and just enter the distance at the keyboard.
