symbol dimension???

Hi, I am a beginner of AutoCAD. I have a question to make some symbol dimension of my drawing.

What I means by symbol dimension is that the dimension text is some symbols such as "L" instead of number.

Dimension, Style, Modify, Text, Text style. Click on the ... button to the right to browse text styles. Select the font you want (ex. - Symbol), assign the Style name then hit the Apply button. That should do the trick.

Double-click the dimension to bring the PROPERTIES window on the screen and go to the TEXT/TEXT OVERRIDE. Enter the L or any other text and press ENTER.
