kolias Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I have ACAD V14 and since I don’t use it very much I have forgotten a lot. I would like to make a drawing for the cover of the control box for my new CNC. The cover will be 4”x 16” x 1/8” thick Aluminum and will have holes for 8 switches, with letters for the function of each switch, plus 4 mounting holes 1/8” diameter in the corners. My problem is how to establish the center lines for the switches and the mounting holes. So I draw a rectangle 4”x 16” and then if I want my switches to be 1” above the bottom edge of the cover how do I establish a center line to have all switches lined up? The same for the mounting holes in the 4 corners. How do I establish the center lines if I want to have each hole 1/2" away from each corner? Also any suggestion on how to write the letters for each switch? I was thinking to draw a rectangle above each switch and center the description inside each rectangle. Is this the best way? Thank you Quote
MSasu Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 For location I think you can solve it with OFFSET command. To align TEXT entities try to use MC (Middle-Center) justification option. Quote
