Heya,

I am currently struggling with trying to put together an animated video of a model in AutoCAD 2007. The help files are not entirely usefull, and I have been attempting with little success to find some kind of online tutorial.

Is anyone aware of a decent and in-depth tutorial into recording video that may exist already? The kinds of things I am looking for:

- Setting the camera on a path.
- Moving objects in the scene smoothly whilst recording.

I am very much new to this particular part of AutoCAD, so any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

-Dan.

Are you sure that you wish to use AutoCAD for this job? 3D MAX is a program specially designed for that. Not to mention the material library and the rendering quality.

Convince my company to purchase lisences for 3DS Max, and I will do that without hesitation. :p

Have a look at this blog post (http://worldcadaccess.typepad.com/blog/2006/04/autocad_tip_rec.html) for starters. New in A2007, 3DOrbit has a record feature and animations can be saved to AVI and MOV.
