Hello-
is is possible to edit where the grip handle is in relation to the line?
Ex:
I offset a spline, ran a .vsp to turn it into a pline, turned the pline into a spline with managable smoothness of curve- BUT now I would like to alter where the curve is on the new pline and the grips are getting progressively further from the line- Thus it is hard to control the "angle" of the curve.

So- is there some way to re-set the grips to be on the line?

Thanks-
TC

No, that is the nature/definition of a spline fit polyline.

yeah- I got that idea that they were the "nature of the beast" but is it normal that they seem to be progressively moving AWAY from the line each time I manipulate it?

Yes. Pedit->Spline creates an approximate B-spline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-spline)

Go to PEDIT in HELP and read about the spline option.

Maybe you can use FIT instead of SPLINE.

See also the SPLINETYPE, and the SPLFRAME system variable.
