How would I go about creating a golf ball with dimples? It seems impossible!
Thanks in advance,
Jason

Using what, vanilla AutoCAD?
I suppose you could start with a sphere, then create tiny spheres around the surface of the large sphere, sink them in, then subtract them.
Then again, I'm no 3D guru... :-)

actually, that's not a bad idea. wouldn't take long. after you draw the big sphere, use the little ones would be easy, just draw one, move it in the desired location, then polar array it around, subtract, and do over. in fact, you could even use the mirror command, cuz it's the same for the top as the bottom... very easy.
nice mr. McSwain..... you should be a 3D masta by the way you talk. lol 8)

THIS IS THE INVENTOR FORUM !!!!!!!!
Use a 'revolved' feature half circle than 'circular pattern' feature a smaller one to create the dimples.
