stevedrew
A defined block "DH" has: A circle on layer CIR having a color of red... A defined attribute on layer ATTR having a color of white... The insertion point is the center of the circle... Is it possible to change the circle to blue on one instance of the block without affecting the same change to other identical blocks in the drawing? Example: Edited June 8, 2012 by stevedrew sentence change
Murph_map
With Vanilla AutoCAD no (or not easy), with AutoCAD MAP3D that your profile saids you are using you can change the display of the blocks based on the attribute colors with themes and/or a property alter query. nestly
Can be done in AutoCAD as well by changing the circle to "BYBLOCK" inside the Block Editor. If the color of the layer is "red" then you won't have to do anything to the existing blocks, but the color of the circle can be set individually for any block by changing it in the Properties Palette. If the layer the blocks are on is not "red" you'll have to select them (pick one then use SELECTSIMILAR) and make them red *edited* because my fingers sometimes go faster than my brain....
