What's the exact difference between 3D Studio VIZ and 3D Studio MAX?
What would you guys recommend for working with for 3D acrhitectural drawings?

hi There
Superjari,
Max has a Lot more Animation features, VIZ doesnt have any sub-object anmation capability.
i Think that VIZ is a lot more suited for Archtitectural work, the FileLinking capability is really cool, if you model in autocad (thats what i do always) and then Link your File into VIZ you have the best of both worlds.
autocad has a lot more accuracy than VIZ. maybe its just that i have about 30,000 hours or more doing autocad and still have a hard Time modeling in VIZ.
i have seen some fantastic architectural work modeled and rendered in Max. it can be done. but i Think that VIZ is more suited for architectural work.
i will see if i can look up an article that has a more defined List of what each of these softwares has.
Thanks
