Cad64 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I've merged your two threads. Please don't post the same question multiple times in different forums. Take a look at the "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this page. Quote
ReMark Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Metric or imperial? Is this for a class you're taking? Quote
ReMark Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 trilok: There is no sense is anyone here providing you with a DWG file since the work would already be done. You need to draw something up all on your own. Give it a try. If you run into a problem come back and post a question. Here's something you can do. Draw up the house you live in. Go take the necessary measurements (bring a pencil and paper to rough out some sketches) then draw it up in CAD. Quote

ReMark Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Buy a book or, as JDM suggested, go to your local library and take a book out. You need a book about architecture or one with house plans in it. Here is one suggestion: Architectural Drafting and Design by Jefferis & Madson published by Thomson. Walk into any Lowe's or Home Depot and you'll find plenty of books with house plans in them. Examples of architectural drawings in JPG and DWF file formats can be found here: http://www.andysbestcad.com/architectural.htm Quote
f700es Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Honestly that is not the best way to learn. I used to (still do at times) will find floorplans on line and redraw them and develop the elevations on my own to see how "I" might make the design suite my needs. Here is a site with small houses that would be a great starting point for you..link. Here is an example... You can download a study set of PDF files and have at it. Good luck. Quote
