Good morning all
I have a small problem that i hope you guys could help me with. I'm at the end of producing charts and the client i have has asked for the files to be bound. fine. until that is i get to binding them and the bind command seems to work. but when i go to check i find that the file i have is still an xref. i've copied it and pasteclipped them in which is a short term problem solve but not long term. all the correct boxes appear and i ok everything and the screen visually looks as its binding the 2 files (legen for the chart being the xref). i'm confused but not at the stage of throwing the machine overboard. i'm using ACAD 2000 if it helps. thanks for the replies in advance.
taff :D

Are there any proxies in the drawing.?Some proxy objects are set as non-copyable and will prohibit xref-bind.Maybe you could try purging them.

Yeh think they are also called ghost entities. These may come from a drawing translation, an imperfection on your hard drive or perhaps a third party software package.Open your drawing make sure you have all layers are on, thawed, and unlocked. You can now type WBLOCK at your command line and WBLOCK you entire drawing into another location. Now try openiing the drawing again and see if you have problems with the drawing. If you decide to add an object enabler as I previously said, this is the site you can download them for free from:http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2753223&linkID=2475161
