Kulghar Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Good Morning Everyone. I've been using AutoCAD for a few years now and have never seem to come across the problem I'm currently having. I assume its just a setting I've accidentally changed but I can't seem to find it. The issue is as follows: When I hit the TRIM command I normally hit enter straight away as apposed to selecting an object to trim too. I then select the line I want to trim and, as you guys know, it 'should' trim it back to the closest intersection. BUT, about 7 days ago it randomly changed, now when I start the command and hit enter and do a drag box over a line I want to trim it just breaks it up into little bits. It ends up looking like an exploded dashed line. Its a nightmare. It does exactly the same for my extend command, it extends it in random sizes, 20mm here, 50mm there. If anyone could shed some light on this issue it'd be greatly appreciated. Additional Notes: I haven't recently installed anything new via AutoCAD or any system on my computer. The drawing border templates haven't been changed at all (To my knowledge). And I haven't been openly tampering with my settings, as far as I'm aware AutoCAD has decided to change itself, like it likes to do. Thanks in advance! -Kulghar! Quote
ReMark Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 It sounds like you might want to take a look at your EDGEMODE system variable. Make sure it is set to "0". Quote
