We have a subscription for commercial AutoCAD. We were sent a drawing produced in the student AutoCAD. That drawing had the message "produced by an autodesk educational product" as it should have but it also tainted my CAD install so all my drawings now have this message. How can I keep the message from appearing on my commercially produced drawings. Replacing my template does not seem to help.

I'm afraid that once you placed at least a single entity from that signed drawing, your bussines drawing(s) become signed too. This is Autodesk's policy and is entirely their right to do so.

PS. Google is your friend...

I did search on google and couldn't find the information to remove the message from my commercial product. I will keep looking. I have a support contract so I will contact my support folks and see if they can help. If anyone else has hadd this issue, I would liek any suggestions you have.

Try saving the file as a .dxf and see what happens.

The EDU file didn't taint your install. If you used any portion of a EDU drawing in one of your drawings then that drawing also has the EDU stamp in it. Contact your reseller and they will help fix it, you will have to give up the name of the company that provided you with a EDU file, as well you should.
