I need to know how to make a rendering pattern to put siding on a ouse i architectural desktop 3.1. Any suggestions welcome!

What you need to do is to make a new material that simulates the effect you want. Probably the best way would be to create an image tile in Photoshop or other bitmap editor and then use that to create a new "standard" material. Specify the new image as the material bitmap and then adjust the scale etc. to suit. Once you have done this, you can attach the new material to your walls and render the model.
I plan to do a new tutorial covering this in the not too distant future.
