Dean07
Hello all, Does anyone know if you can background mask dimension text the same way you can with mtext. I know i can explode the dimension and edit the text and give it a background, but that is poor practice. I still want to keep the dimension associated. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. fuccaro
You are right Dean07; exploding the dimensions is a bad drawing practice. In the Dimension style editor go to the TEXT panel and set the FILL COLOR to BACKGROUND. This option is present from AutoCAD 2k6 I think. ammobake
This is an old thread but was very helpful. The fill color value is easy to tweak for people like me who keep properties open all the time! Thanks. -ChriS
