Using multiple xrefs a file will show that there are no lines in the layout when the layer is turned off. Upon viewing the full preview though lines from the turned off xref layer appear in the areas they would be if on but they are only partially on. The objects are leaders but the arrows are not attached or the text, just a section of the line. What is the issue with the file? How can i fix this? currently using Autocad 2k4

I have had this problem before also. One thing that I have had good results from is freezing all layers that are turned off and turning off all frozen layers. For some reason if the layer is both off and frozen, the objects on that layer won't plot. HTH.

This is a little obscure, but you might check the leader style (using DIMSTYLE or Properties). If the arrow is a block, and the entities in that block are not on layer 0, your leader could have two parts (arrow and pline) with different properties. I came across that situation last week: a leader had an arrow with one color and a pline with another. Simply change the block entities to layer 0.
