View Full Version : Isometric Drawing

I'm going to try my best to make my question easy to understand. I started drawing circular isometric drawings and I understand how to change the cursor with "F5" to place ellipses in there proper places. But I am having trouble when the circular isometric drawing is sliced in a side-way effect, where the ellipse is actually tilled when drawn on the isometric view. I can't properly set the tilled ellipses in there proper places and I was wondering is there another command where I can draw tilted ellipses.

I know exactly what you mean. There is no easy way to do this in AutoCAD, as indeed there is no easy way to do it on a drawing board.
I think the only way forward is to do what you would do with pencil and paper. Set up a projection in order to create some control points for the ellipse (actually, you only need to define the long axis) and then use the ellipse command to draw through the control points.
Unless anyone else has a better idea.

Don't think I understand but SPLINE line may be an option.
