Philllip
Is there possible to use dimbreak on symbols (welding, surface texture etc.)? Maybe this can be solved in some other way? // Philip
SLW210
How are your symbols created? DIMBREAK works on Multileaders and Dimensions.

Never heard of Annotate>Symbols>... in AutoCAD. What program are you using?

SLW210
You need to ask those familiar with Mechanical, those symbols have nothing to do with Vanilla AutoCAD. I'll move your thread.
Marvin7
In the help file, DIMBREAK and AMDIMBREAK both say they are to create "breaks in dimensions" as specific points. Doing either command lists "Select dimension or extension line to break", so fairly obviously, that's all you can break, with those commands at least. I'm not aware of another command that will hide a portion of a linear object without the need to split the object into multiple subobjects.
