Any ideas on what to do when AutoCAD won't recognize a TrueType font file? It's in the drop-down menu in the style manager, but it doesn't have the TTF symbol and isn't available for preview. The TTF file is in the support file search path...not all computers have this problem...running AutoCAD 2000i LT...help?

Okay, problem temporarily solved -- I had to put the file in the c:\windows\fonts folder, then close & restart AutoCAD, but...

Any idea why AutoCAD couldn't just use the server folder? If we have to share fonts it'd be nice to not clog up hard drives...Thanks!!

Will adding the drive and folder in the file search list help?

Good luck :)

If do you wish to use a specific font on your computer, you must install it first. If the font file is placed on the server you will need to install it on your computer. After that you can use it within all Windows application.
