When I change from drawing to drawing my OSnap settings adopt the settings of the previous user instead of the ones that I use.
In another life I used to know a command which would allow me to keep my OSnap settings between drawings but have since forgoten.
Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!
That did not do it.
OSMODE only allows me to enter a number representing the different snaps to be set.
I set it to zero and it cleared all of the snap settings and then I set it back (to 16485) and it turned on the snaps as before.
More please...

Set your osnaps as you like them.
Check the setting of OSMODE.
Now when osnaps change for some unknown reason, set OSMODE back to your preferred number.
You could make a button to do it in one click.

I do remember there was a setting I could set that would preserve my OSnap settings from drawing to drawing.
I just cannot remember...
:(
I do understand that I can set (or reset) the OSnap using that command. It is still a hassle if I am opening, perhaps, 30 drawings a day.
Thanks for the info though!
Any other thoughts?

OSMODE is saved in the registry so it is saved between drawing sessions. Something in your setup must be changing it, it is not set in the drawing. Find out what's doing it and stop it. Or you can try to counteract it with your own lisp that loads in every drawing that resets the OSMODE.

as CarlB has already mentioned, snap settings are saved in the registry, NOT in a drawing.
Opening a drawing from someone else cannot alter your current snap settings, that is impossible.
If you settings are changing between drawings then you must have something running in the background which is setting these flags whenever a drawing is opened.
