What is the best way to import Word files into Auto Cad? We always have to re-edit the text cause things get added or lost in the translation.

The best method I have found is to save the Word doc in RTF (Rich Text Format) and then import using MTEXT. Formatting is preserved and colour, fonts etc. are rendered accurately.

That's what I do - any other suggestions?

You can try ctrl + c and ctrl + v, it's the easiest way, it inserts the text as an image, so it cannot be changed afterwards...

Thanks for the rtf tip! Do you know any way around the 16k limitation of MTEXT, though? :D

Hey everybody..how about setting the mtext editor to be MS Word or MS WordPad. I know you will lose some formatting but would it help?
