As the title of this thread says, I have never seen this before and I need some help. I opened a drawing created inhouse. It has three viewports in it. It starts out in paperspace view extents. When I use the model tab to go over to madelspace, it automatically zoom extents. I set a view for the area I want. Went I set that view current, it goes back to zoom extents.

Im the profile window I set the before mentioned view for, when I try to set it it goes back to zoom extents. I have checked all the xrefs and they are fine. I have audit, purged the drawing. No errors.

I don't want to write block this out and try and recreate the drawing and view ports.

Can some one help me out here? Never heard of this nor experienced it either.

Set UCSFOLLOW to 0 in each viewport.

That worked. Can I ask why in the world would anyone need that to be set as anything else?

I could see it being very useful in a complex model with many custom UCS placements ...

It's funny, I never would have guessed the solution to this, but upon reading I had the opposite reaction as you did ...
I was thinking "wow, you can follow the UCS? How convenient!"
hehe

I however am the novice of the two of us, so I have a feeling I will find out very soon just how wrong I am about this ...
probably while panicking on a project gone nutty ..
hehe :?
