How do I dimension from a plane to a point?

Also, is there any way to snap to a vertical on a plane while moving a point?

can you create a line or object parrallal to the plane then use the aligned dim to snap to the parallel object to the point.

Well...I figured out that there is no easy way to do this...you have to change the UCS to be on the plane you want to "snap" to, and create a point directly below the object you're wanting to move...its a PITA. :?
