I want to buy a new liscence for Architectural desktop. Does any of you AutoCAD gurus out there know where I can get one & for the cheapest price?

I know from Autodesk it goes for around $5000. I am looking for something much less. Can any of you pros out there help me?

Thank you.

Sorry, you can ONLY buy a full AutoCAD (non LT) seat from an authorised AutoCAD dealer.

1st off, you did not say you were wanting a student copy. Perhaps if you would have said that I would have known.
2nd, please don't come in here with an attitude, we are a friendly community and my post was not meant to come across in a mean way. I have been buying AutoCAD for over 10 years now and there will not be much difference from dealer to dealer( $100 - $300 here or there). Pretty sure I know what I am talking about.
3rd, you cannot use a student copy for "real" work. ALL current student copies will contain a watermark when printed as well as "infecting" the files with this "educational" watermark. Thus if you make a drawing with the educational copy and open it in a full commercial copy if will have the watermark. It's also illegal.
4th, if you are a student you can look at your school's bookstore or JFGI, that would be "just *ucking google it" ;)

Here is a site with different copies for sale....
http://www.cadcampus.com/
A 1 year copy is $159 and a perpetual copy will be $379. Look around you might find a better rate but those seem to be pretty good. Under $400 and it never runs out. Best of luck :)

Thank you for your help. I really do appreciate it.

I felt you were the one with attitude with a reply like "Sorry, you can ONLY buy a full AutoCAD (non LT) seat from an authorised AutoCAD dealer.[/quote]" DUHHHHH. Either you were inferring I was a thief or bootlegging AutoCAD. Sorry if I offended you or anyone. I felt no friendliness with a reply like that.

Maybe this is not the forum for me with insecure people like you onboard. Please do not respond. I am gone!!!

??? I was the one that was insucure??? Sorry, but it was a simple answer with no meaness implied. You where the one that thought I was being a smart-a$$ about it. Maybe my reply should not have been in all caps, oh wait that was yours. Please stay if you want to but I do beleive that you have taken my simple and direct post for more than it was. I am a pretty easy going chap and I am pretty sure all of the memebrs will agree. Sorry that you took more of my reply that what it really was but it was a pretty vague question and no I did not imply that your where a crook looking for warez :( Al ot of people come here thinking that they can buy AutoCAD from ebay and used copies. You cannot. Sure, you can but these copies cannot be upgraded nor will support be given. I would hate to see someone waste their $$.
