View Full Version : how can I print a copy of the layers in my drawing?

I'm setting up viewports in paperspace with title blocks on our server so that they are available to all our inhouse cadlings. but I'd like a printed copy of all layers involved in each viewport for keeping track of them....can somebody HELP ME!!!!....please

Dont know which version of AutoCAD your using but in CAD2K you can enter -LAYER command and then enter ? at the command line.It will then ask Enter layer name(s) to list <*>: .Just hit the enter buton.It will then list all the layers within the current drawing by Layer name, State, Color Linetype & Lineweight.You can then copy this text into whatever editor you want or print it.If youre talking about this all being done automaticaly then I reckon you'd be looking at AutoLISP or maybe even a script.
