Directory of Free Models and Meshes

I just came across this link to a directory of free models and meshes http://www.3dlinks.com/objects_free.cfm. It looks pretty comprehensive. Let me know if you know any other good sites.

If you visit a link, please tell us a few words about. The title is not enough to know the “inside”, and it says nothing about quality. Even a short description of contents could help to find quick the right model for everyone.

Also try accustudio.com, they have heaps of free blocks
to download. they have materials attached for use in accurender.
They insert fine into autocad. just keep in mind that they are
drawn not in mm but inches,i think. so some scaling may be required.

love the vw beetle they have,Its too cool.

A site which has been on the go for over 2 months now is www.3dmodelsharing.com which has a couple of hundred 3d models in acad format - some models extremely good, others are iffy and some are only 2D drawings. There's a real mixture of cars, planes, furniture, buildings and other categories. Definately worth a look for 3d models though.

Another site which has only meshes is www.fantasticarts.com where less of the 3d models are offered as dxf files.
