Hi
I have a number of drawings wihch have the same Border with attributes already entered.
I want to use a different border, without changing the original template file, but keep the attributes. i.e. I dont not want to have to delete the existing border and then insert a new border and refill the attributes.
I am using AutoCAD LT2006

i'm pretty sure all you have to do is EXPLODE the block, make the changes, and create a BLOCK again. all the attributes should stay the same, just pick them one by one to insure the order. if you don't want to take the chance of doing everything over, simply COPY the block off to the side, and try it. i don't know how the LT version works, but i know i've done that before.

Or you could use BEDIT

Since I don't use AutoCAD LT, I'm not sure if it supports the REFEDIT (Reference Edit) command or the BEDIT (Block Editor)command.
Either one of these would be better than exploding your block.

LT2006 does not have BEDIT or REFEDIT.
Your best bet would be to save your titleblock as another file, make your changes, and reinsert.
This assumes your attributes have not changed position -- if they have, you're better off just recreating the block, since LT doesn't have the tools to re-synchronize the attributes.
