Blipmode defaults to ON. I have set it to OFF by typing blipmode and then off and I have used the SetVar command to change it as well, but it reverts back to ON when I open another drawing or new drawing.

Because of this problem as well as a couple of others, the computer has been reformatted and all software reloaded. AutoCAD and SP2 was loaded next to last. Anti-Virus software was loaded last.

Blipmode stayed OFF all day yesterday but today it's back to defaulting 2 ON.

New information since original post
This afternoon I ran a repair on AutoCAD and for the moment it is working. Did the same thing last week, before reformating and rebuilding, and the epair solved the problem for a day.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is this a recent thing or did it start when you upgraded? Are you sure Blipmode is set to off in your drawing template file?

Typically, we use Go-Bys and do a "Save As". The origianl drawings were created with Blipmode off.

This AutoCAD installation was not an upgrade. We converted an AutoCAD Mechanical 2006 to and Electrical so it was all a nice clean install.
