Removing License

I would like to remove a license from a pc. I don't want to remove it and put it on another computer (which is what I keep running across for instructions). I would just like to remove it and be done. Can anyone guide my ways?

Thanks. Would this free up the license for another computer down the road? I guess I should have clarified, I am not looking to transfer in the immediate, but down the road that license might go on another pc.

I recommend you follow this procedure as outlined by AutoDesk. Note that it applies to both temporary and permanent license transfers and pay particular attention to the words "exports your license...to an AutoDesk server".

If I remember correctly when you use the licence transfer utility the licence is 'given back' to Autodesk on-line and when at some point in the future you install the software on another computer you call the licence back using the same licence transfer utility. I did it once but it was a long time ago, but from what I remember it went without a hitch. You need your Autodesk ID to do it though.
