solids from polylines

Can you draw a box using polylines and then turn it into a solid? Hopefully this is a stupid question because I should already know it but if it can be done, I don't remember how.

First make out the profile using polylines, then use the extrude command. That's it! :P

Doggone it, I should have known the way I posted it that would have been the reply. I know how to do that but my problem is in drawing and irregular box which has a couple of different angles. That complicates the issure.
