Hello to all!!

Well i am new to autocad and was wondering if anybody could give me some answers or rough sketches on how to go about what i am going to ask:

Draw a layout for the ground floor of a house that contains an integral garage, lounge, dining kitchen, hallway stairs and w.c. The overall size of the building including garage should not exceed 100 square meters.

And also

Draw out elevations assuming a pitched roof of 30 degrees. Position windows as per ground floor plan and assume suitable position for them for upper floor.

I know this is alot but would really appreciate the advice and/or information with sketches

My email add is Ballz85@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks for taking the time to read all this

well, first off, is this a model of a real house or just one that you're making up? and it looks like you just need to know how to represent different objects from a floorplan perspective, right?

If you're brand new to autocad, then you have to get in the habit of visualizing what objects look like from the basic perspectives (i.e. top, side, front, etc)

if you get to make up the house, then you can just use your own judgement when it comes to the size of rooms and such. Your house cannot exceed 100 sq. meters, so you have to decide what would be reasonable and realistic dimensions for each room of the house. Dont forget that the walls have thickness as well, and you will need to show that. labeling the different rooms never hurts either. furniture you will need to draw from a top-down point of view.

as for the windows, just use your judgement and what you've practiced from the floorplan and show the ouside of the house from a side view as opposed to a vertical view and space them as you would imagine to be realistic.

if all else fails, try drawing a sketch freehand on paper to help give you an idea about how to draw it. if you still have more questions, you can take screenshots and upload the image if you think that would help us answer your questions better.

good luck!
